It’s normal to feel both nervous and hopeful about starting therapy.
Our first step will be an intake session where I’ll learn about your background, goals, and what "success" looks like for you. Most of the time, this happens in one session, though sometimes it takes a bit longer.
From there, we’ll move into regular sessions tailored to your needs. If we’re doing EMDR, I’ll guide you through that process. Otherwise, we’ll use your goals to shape our work together, with regular check-ins to make sure you're getting what you need.
Therapy often evolves as life unfolds. What first brought you here may shift, new things may come up, and together we'll adjust. This is your space — you get to shape it in the way that works best for you.
Payment for Sessions:
• Rates: My standard rate is $175 per 55-minute session, or $945 for a package of 6 55-minute sessions (10% discount). Up front payment is required. Rates for intensives are determined on an individual basis based on how the intensive is structured.
• Payment Methods: I accept payment via Sessions Health, which uses Stripe for billing purposes.
• Payment Due: Payments are due at the time of service. I require all clients to keep a credit card on file with me and I will bill at the time of service. I am not able to keep HSA/FSA cards on file at this time.
Refunds for Unused Sessions:
• If you purchase a package of sessions and, at any point, feel that we’re not a good fit or therapy is no longer serving you, I want to ensure that you feel comfortable with the next steps:
• If, after the first session or two, we determine that we’re not a good fit, I will refund any unused sessions in your package.
• If you decide that therapy with me is no longer what you need after we’ve worked together for a while, I will offer a prorated refund for any unused sessions.
Note: Refunds will not be provided for sessions already used. However, I’m always open to discussing your experience and ensuring that your needs are being met.
Insurance:
• I do not accept insurance plans. However, I can provide a superbill upon request if you participate in an HSA/FSA program. Please note that you are responsible for payment upfront, and I cannot guarantee reimbursement.
• No-show Policy: If you miss a session without notifying me, you’ll be charged for the full session.
Cancellations & Rescheduling:
• Cancellation Policy: Life happens! If you need to cancel or reschedule an appointment, please provide at least 24 hours notice. Cancellations made within 24 hours of the session will incur a $175 charge.
Confidentiality:
• Your privacy is a priority. All information shared in sessions is confidential, with a few exceptions, including imminent risk of harm to yourself or others or in cases of suspected abuse. For more detailed information, please review the full confidentiality policy before we begin working together.
Session Length:
• Standard Sessions: Each therapy session lasts for 55 minutes. I aim to make each session productive and purposeful so that we can focus on your healing journey. Out of respect for your time, my time, and the time of any client coming in after you, I am strict about the 55 minute limit. Occasionally, longer sessions may be arranged if needed and are billed accordingly.
Termination of Therapy:
• You are always in control of your therapy journey. If at any point you feel therapy is no longer serving your needs, please let me know, and we’ll discuss your options, whether that means transitioning to a different approach or ending our work together.
Emergency Contact:
• While I am committed to supporting you during our sessions, I do not provide 24/7 emergency support. If you’re in need of urgent care outside of our sessions, I can recommend local resources or hotlines. Please make sure to reach out if you need guidance on finding these services.
The number of sessions for you depends on several factors: what brought you into therapy, what new things we uncover along the way, your motivation, how much progress happens between sessions, and other factors.
Therapy is a journey of self-discovery and never a straight line; this uncertainty can sometimes feel frustrating. But the investment in yourself is worth it, and I hope you come away from our sessions with a sense of accomplishment and empowerment— even if the final sense of "completion" isn’t always clear.
This is completely normal. You are always in the driver's seat of your therapy journey. If you start feeling like you're done, please let me know. Together, we can explore where these feelings originate and decide what the best next step will be.
I do not accept any insurance plans. I will provide you with a superbill upon request for you to submit if you happen to participate in an HSA/FSA program through your insurance. You are still responsible for the payment upfront and I cannot guarantee that all HSA/FSA will reimburse.
I also offer a package of six 55-minute sessions for $945 - or $157.50 per session - a 10% discount on the single session rate of $175 per session. Upfront payment is required.
Nervous system regulation isn’t about just “chilling out.” It’s about learning to safely shift in and out of different states while maintaining a sense of internal control.
Your autonomic nervous system (ANS) manages unconscious functions like heart rate, digestion, and breathing. Stress, trauma, or burnout can leave it stuck in a dysregulated state, leading to anxiety, overwhelm, or feeling constantly “on edge.”
Nervous system regulation uses techniques like breathwork, grounding exercises, mindfulness, and movement to help reset your system. The goal is stability—so you can navigate life’s challenges with more ease, less reactivity, and a greater capacity to tolerate emotions. I often integrate this work to help clients feel embodied and empowered in their emotional experience.

EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) has been around since the late 1980s and is one of the most well-researched methods for trauma treatment. Developed by Dr. Francine Shapiro, she discovered that certain eye movements could reduce the emotional charge of distressing memories. Today, EMDR is used worldwide for trauma, PTSD, and other emotional and mental health challenges.
The process involves guided eye movements or other bilateral stimulation to help the brain process and reframe difficult memories. This reduces the intensity of emotional responses and makes past experiences easier to manage. EMDR is structured and measurable, which can be especially useful for clients who like to track their progress.

IFS (Internal Family Systems) was developed in the 1980s by Dr. Richard Schwartz. He noticed that many people experience inner conflicts as if different “parts” of themselves are at odds. In IFS, the mind is seen as made up of distinct parts, all influencing our thoughts, feelings, and behaviors.
The goal of IFS is to help these parts work together in harmony, guided by the Self, which is the calm, wise, and centered core of who we are. This approach emphasizes curiosity over shame, making it easier to explore difficult emotions safely. IFS is widely used to address trauma, anxiety, depression, and more. I often integrate it with EMDR, especially when processing feels “stuck,” because it accelerates insight and restores a sense of self-leadership.
